Cocoon
Silk cocoons are a natural byproduct of sericulture, commonly found in northern and northeastern Thailand. After the silk threads are extracted, the cocoons are cleaned and sun-dried for use in handicrafts.
They are lightweight, oval-shaped, and have a soft matte texture in a natural ivory tone. Cocoons can be cut and shaped into petals or used to form entire flowers. They are often paired with natural materials like marigold seed centers, pine cones, or sola bark to add depth and texture to floral designs.
